Ridiculous Ideas

Warning, anything said is not a personal attack against you because you like the character, but simply pointing out odd things about them. You have been told first hand, so do not be offended.

Some things don't make alot of sense in sonic, even though the game itself is great, and they don't even make sense for the game.

Exhibit #1 Gliding, In Sonic Adventure 2 (in other games as well, but most obviously in this game) Knuckles can glide, why? Simply because his dreds (the downward spikes on his head,) trap air when he is jumping the way he does

Exhibit #2 Special Shoes, in a later game (Sonic the Hedgehog, sometimes called Sonic Next Gen by fans) he gains powers by installing chips into his shoes, even though they do not have any real technology in them, they are just shoes. Think stapeling the coding for earthbound onto a super nintendo and the game playing.

Exhibit #3 Power Rings, in one of the cartoons Sonic was the only one who could use the power of the power rings, okay I get that but... Doctor Robotnik was able to use their power through machines for quite a long period, and the guys underground were able to use the rock that made power rings for power, even though each power ring ran out of power in about a few hours, and Antoine was carrying around one for about two days in an episode, to use it to bargain with Robotnik.

1.) each zone has an emerald at the end, for this reason the concentration of chaos energy is MUCH higher, this effects everything present in the zone especially those of us with chaos control and who has the absolute best chaos control? Knuckles! the last of the race of people who INVENTED it! This would explain how knuckles can glide (if shadow can f@#%in' teliport I think gliding aint to far off)

2.) shoe technology is NOTHING new, shadow is a great example, also sonic's shoes have friction reducing and gravity defying technology in the fabric of the shoes themselves (the adventures or sonic the hedgehog sat AM cartoon and the comics) which explains how he can do so much off of just speed alone

3.) the rings have a power which comes from the earth (mobius) itself usually from Power stones or emeralds, sonic can use them because he has chaos control but robotnik can use there power to run machines as fuel

1# I've read up on it, it says on a wiki site he glides by trapping air under his dreds, nothing to do with chaos energy.

2# The thing is the shoes are regular shoes, but they have special computer chips attached nothing else, like clicking the memory stick of a camera it does nothing. I really wanted to see what you ( the other people) say about it.

3# There actually wasn't "chaos control" in the show which the power rings showed up, and his uncle taught him how. Plus Antoine carries one around for a day, instead of the regular twelve hours, which after pushing time limits is used as fuel for a super machine used to follow the movement's of something moving super fast and then destroy it with a high power cannon.
